Job Description:
Ivy Resource Group is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in the Forest of Dean. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with students and colleagues within the school.
- Collaborate with a range of outside agencies.
- Follow directions from the class teacher.
- Proactively adapt resources and activities to meet the needs of students.
- Complete relevant training as required.
- Work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills, a sense of humour, and the ability to share ideas and learn from each other.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Support teaching staff in the development and education of children within the classroom or through individual or small group support, as directed by the SENCo.
- Hold or be working towards an NVQ Level 2 or above in Learning Support.
- Have the ability to work with students with EAL (English as an Additional Language), BESD (Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties), or SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties).
