Accounts Assistant

My client are seeking a highly motivated and organized Accounts assistant to join their expanding office. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations.

Main responsibilities:

  • Making regular rent payments to landlords and reconciling accounts
  • Recording financial transactions for sales, purchases, bank, cash, and wages
  • Creating financial reports to show business income and expenditures
  • Processing vendor invoices and monitoring bank balances
  • Filing VAT returns
  • Checking the accuracy of financial records and reporting any discrepancies to the Accountant/Directors
  • Producing monthly financial statements such as cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets
  • Calculating employee wages
  • Overseeing employee expense claims
  • Providing administrative support to the Accountant and assisting with yearly accounting processes

What you will need:

  • Relevant accounting experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple accounting tasks
  • Proficiency in using computer software like Microsoft Office
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills
  • The capability to work efficiently under pressure and manage their workload independently
  • A detail-oriented approach to financial transactions, including daily receipts and payments
  • A professional demean or and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion in the accountancy role.
  • The candidate will need to be able to speak Punjabi and English
