Assistant Finance Manager

- Salary up to £30,000 per annum

This role plays a key role within the finance team, to support the Finance Manager on month end tasks and to assist to lead the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions across 2 legal entities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Finance Manager to lead and manage the AR team ensuring it functions smoothly
  • A point of reference for information and procedural advice & queries
  • A point of reference for inter-departmental information and advice
  • Ensure AR Ageing items are escalated and resolved within a timely manner
  • Ensure cash collection is maximised
  • Assist the Finance Manager to lead and manage the AP team ensuring it functions smoothly
  • A point of reference for information and procedural advice & queries
  • A point of reference for inter-departmental information and advice
  • Ensure any AP issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner
  • To include internal and external audit requirements
  • Accruals and prepaids
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and treasury processes

What you will need:

  • AAT Level 4
  • Studying towards ACCA or CIMA an advantage but not essential
  • At least 3 year's recent experience in all aspects of the role
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and contribute to departmental goals and objectives
  • A commercial and professional approach to work
  • Ability to use your initiative and problem solve
  • Able to multi-task, juggle competing priorities, and work independently under tight deadlines
  • Well organised, with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
