Assistant Finance Manager

- Salary up to £30,000 per annum
This role plays a key role within the finance team, to support the Finance Manager on month end tasks and to assist to lead the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions across 2 legal entities
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the Finance Manager to lead and manage the AR team ensuring it functions smoothly
- A point of reference for information and procedural advice & queries
- A point of reference for inter-departmental information and advice
- Ensure AR Ageing items are escalated and resolved within a timely manner
- Ensure cash collection is maximised
- Assist the Finance Manager to lead and manage the AP team ensuring it functions smoothly
- A point of reference for information and procedural advice & queries
- A point of reference for inter-departmental information and advice
- Ensure any AP issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner
- To include internal and external audit requirements
- Accruals and prepaids
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and treasury processes
What you will need:
- AAT Level 4
- Studying towards ACCA or CIMA an advantage but not essential
- At least 3 year's recent experience in all aspects of the role
- Must be able to work as part of a team and contribute to departmental goals and objectives
- A commercial and professional approach to work
- Ability to use your initiative and problem solve
- Able to multi-task, juggle competing priorities, and work independently under tight deadlines
- Well organised, with good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
