Ivy Resource Group are currently looking to hire a Construction Materials Buyer to join one our clients on a permanent basis in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
The company:
Our client in a regional contractor who predominately work on residential projects in the area.
The role entails:
Processing Orders - material and plant.
Support Operations Team in achieving project delivery by ensuring timely delivery of all required materials and supplies.
Scheduling materials and obtaining quotations for their supply.
Checking Specifications / Site Instructions.
Dealing with damage charges for faulty / defective materials (obtaining photos/signed paperwork etc).
Essential requirements:
Driving licence and own transport.
What are we looking for?
A strong background as a Buyer with 12 months construction industry procurement experience
Strong IT Skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proactive with the ability to work and manage time effectively
Strong negotiation skills
A good eye for detail
