Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students continue their learning and adhere to the school's code of conduct.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that pre-set work is completed.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the setting up of equipment.
- Support students with their learning and provide feedback to teachers on work completed.
- Manage classroom resources and promote independent study.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Prior experience working with children is essential.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
- Good level of education, ideally with a focus on secondary education.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying situations and workloads.
- Commitment to the school's ethos and values.
