Position: KS3 and KS4 Drama Teacher
Contract: 0.8 FTE
Start Date: November 2024
Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to teach KS3 and KS4 students at a secondary school near Thornbury. This is a part-time position (0.8 FTE) starting in November 2024 on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing Drama Teacher, who will be absent, to ensure continuity and high-quality education for the students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative drama lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Collaborate with the absent teacher to plan and prepare lessons.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage students' creativity and confidence through drama activities and performances.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to the drama department.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching drama at KS3 and KS4 levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to collaborative planning and teamwork.
