Contract: Temporary, Full Teaching Responsibilities
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Cheltenham. This temporary role begins after the February half term and requires someone confident in taking on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, delivering lessons, and marking.
The ideal candidate will have secure knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum and be passionate about bringing the subject to life through engaging, relevant, and well‑structured lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Mark and assess student work in line with school policies
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
- Support the wider school community where required
- Uphold safeguarding and behaviour expectations at all times
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4
- Ability to take on full planning, teaching, and marking responsibilities
- A proactive, reliable, and professional approach
