Are you passionate about working with young people and promoting physical fitness? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant secondary and sixth form school in Gloucester. As an HLTA in Physical Education, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and wellbeing.

About the School: Our school is a mixed 11-18 establishment with 1,518 pupils on roll. The Sixth Form comprises 325 students, including KS5 learners. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging PE lessons.
  • Support students during practical activities and sports events.
  • Provide targeted intervention for students who require additional help.
  • Contribute to the development of PE resources and lesson plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting or educational setting
  • Background in sports coaching or related fields.
  • Passion for promoting physical activity and wellbeing.
