Joinery Fitter

Job Overview

Your primary task`s will be to install and manage high quality joinery and cabinetry. You will need to be able to read and work accurately from working drawings and to be able to resolve technical problems from site.

Main responsibilities:

Joinery installation

  • Preparation on site.
  • Site visits (pre installation visits)
  • Mid checks with workshop team to make sure delivery dates are on target
  • Mid checks with workshop to fully understand how the product is being manufactured advise if changes need to be made to assist with the installation
  • Setting out
  • Identifying access and egress to workface
  • Identifying delivery restrictions
  • Identifying and overcoming tolerance issues
  • Provision of services (lighting, power etc)
  • Assessing site, SHE requirements
  • Coordination with project teams
  • Final signoffs check list
  • Be able to liaise with other trades with the integration of M&E within the fitted joinery i.e. FCU units and LED lighting systems.

What you will need:

  • A clean driving license
  • Demonstrates the ability to listen, take instruction and show a willingness to learn
  • Has good mathematical skills and is practically minded
  • Hard working, polite and of tidy appearance
  • Committed to delivering high quality joinery
  • Has a positive 'can-do` attitude
  • Meticulously well organised and strong levels of planning
  • Can read and interpret drawings
  • Can work independently or with other site operatives
  • Ability to manage, train and mentor others
  • Ability to solve any complications in a timely manner
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • General knowledge of building materials and related disciplines
  • Accurate with good attention to detail
  • Ability to be flexible with working hours when undertaking site installation
  • Flexibility to work in the workshop as required
