Nursery/Recruitment Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who has previously worked within recruitment or with children. This role is to provide advice and guidance to existing Franchisees on their business operation and to meet and assist in the approval of new Franchisees joining the national network. This is an opportunity for you to help people achieve their goals.

The role would suit an individual with a creative nature and the skills, knowledge and experience already gained from working in business consultancy or Franchise Support and Recruitment, ideally in child development or the children's activity sector.

Excellent communication skills, the ability to work on your own initiative and collaboratively with others is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn all aspects of the programme through initially taking part in Classes and regular communication and meetings with the Technical Consultant.
  • Organise and initially with the assistance of the Technical Consultant, run and deliver the programme training courses for both new and established Franchisees
  • Plan and implement ongoing programme and equipment development as needed.
  • Organise and run the Technical aspects of Seminars and corporate events, which utilise equipment and may involve the character performing, e.g. roadshows.
  • Quality control of programme equipment.
  • Update staff uniform as needed.
  • Manage and develop the online training programme.
  • Handle technical related enquiries from Franchisees and parents.
  • Carry out equipment checks prior to business sales.
  • Oversee the return of equipment and provide a valuation.
  • Carry out Franchisee support visits to maintain the ethos and image of the company
  • Analyse individual Franchisee data and provide appropriate advice and guidance to assist Franchisees in the operation of their business, through regular online business reviews.
  • Keep Franchisees updated with legislation relating to business, employment, data protection, health and safety, safeguarding and any other related legislation.
  • Handle general business enquires from Franchisees including territory adjustments.
  • Contribute to content of Franchise Recruitment materials.
  • Handle Franchise enquiries including related administration for new territories and Franchise re-sales.
  • Arrange Centre visits and meet with prospective franchisees.
  • Clarify Agreement Queries.
  • Participate in Business plan Meetings at Head Office with prospective franchisees and assist in evaluating suitability.
  • Provide advice and guidance to existing Franchisees on resales.
  • Attendance at exhibitions or events to promote the organisation and its activities.
  • Attend Management Meetings to report on all Franchisee support and feedback
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture
  • Any other duties as may be required from time to time.

What you will need:

  • You must be enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated, personable and able to demonstrate you can work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Other personal qualities include leadership and influencing skills with an ability to inspire people.
  • Being able to work under pressure, as well as plan and organise, along with excellent communication skills are essential.
  • In addition, the role requires the individual to be imaginative and capable of working with children and adults.

Qualifications and Experience

  • You will be educated to degree standard ideally in business with education, sports or child development or other similar relevant qualification.
  • Experience in delivering training courses or teaching is essential, as is providing business advice and guidance.
  • Having worked with children in a physically active environment and an up to date knowledge of child development would be an advantage, as would experience of working in a Franchise business.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft office including outlook, word, excel and powerpoint are required, as well as a full driving license.
